Cafe Lima is a relatively new restaurant located in San Juan, near Santolan Road. It’s all the way up the fourth floor which gives them privacy from the other establishments in the building. They serve Filipino food with a twist and a touch of elegance.
The interior was very light and cozy. The wooden furniture with the glass vase and simple flowers gives off a clean homey vibe. I like the quotes written on the wall a lot, I think it was a nice touch to bring more color to the room. The restaurant isn’t very large but they do have ample space for around 20-25 people.
We ordered Liempo, Rice, and their fried Fish. I have to say. Their food is great. It was absolutely perfect. The liempo was really crispy and the sauce was so yummy, I wanted to drink it. The fish was crispy, too and was served with a small serving of tomatoes. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned with bagoong. It wasn’t overwhelming and was still great with the viands.
However,I do think it is quite expensive. This type of restaurant is built more for family eat outs rather than date nights. I hope they either give a larger quantity or lower the price while maintaining the quality of their dishes. I know it sounds demanding, but I am not really willing to pay that much for what Cafe Lima serves. I would go back here if it were a family gathering and I’m not paying, other wise, I’ll pass.
