I love steak. But I don’t want to break the bank to get my fix. One time I craved for steak so badly that I scourged the net finding a steak place that would satisfy my palate. I found that Everything at Steak have steaks that are quite budget friendly so I hurried on to try it out.
Upon arriving at Everything at Steak Banawe Branch, I was pleasantly surprised at how well the parking attendant treated me. The staff, too, were friendly, sitting me at my preferred seat. I ordered their Spinach with Artichoke Dip as a starter. For the main course, my companion and I had ordered their steak. We wanted to try both their steak flavor: New Orleans and Original Marinade. For the sides, we got their corn on cob (because I love corn!) and
It has a homey vibe to it. It’s not as pretty as I would have liked, but definitely an acceptable looking establishment. It feels like those simple 90s restaurant that I used to go to. Simple is the word that best describes Everything at Steak.
Though the staff seemed friendly, the service is a bit lacking I had to call a server multiple times to have my water refilled. I think that their friendliness kind of made up for their lack of attention to the customers (considering that there were only a few tables occupied). However, the food had come out pretty quickly and was served hot to us.
Spinach Artichoke Dip
It was okay. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t amazing either. It’s a good starter, but I would’ve liked it more flavorful. The bread that comes with the starter tasted great, though. I believe that its worth the price. They served a lot of dip, but not enough bread.
Steak: Original Marinade and New Orleans Rub
Both steaks were soft and tender, but not much else. The steak didn’t have that meaty quality that we loved. Heck, I couldn’t even taste the meat. I just tasted the marinades. Just so you know, the original marinade tasted like gravy and the New Orleans rub tasted somewhat spice-y. Unfortunately, the quality of the meat was poor. The only thing I enjoyed about this dish was the side dish. The corn cob was grilled nicely and it tasted good. The other side dish was coleslaw, not so much great tasting.
It felt such a huge disappointment from Everything at Steak. With such high hopes, I wish that their main dish was better, or at least decent. Not only did I think that it was a waste of time and money, I had to leave feeling guilty for not enjoying the food because their staff were nice.
Definitely not recommending this to anyone.
